Candlelight Night.....cont

How to become a fellow human being is the fermenting message in her songs which are brimming with diversity and positivism despite the recurrent streaks of minor chords which allow us to feel blue. Ain't life a bitch, so where are the rainbows? Amongst a pounding base guitar (Ken) , jingling percussion and drums (Matt), a succulent saxophone (Leana), a pleading violin (Jos) and a skilful lead guitar (Geoff) Jazmine Ava's accoustic Wesley takes the overall lead and throughout the performance allows time for the other instruments to shine in turn. Enhanced by a set of immaculately clear Mackie speakers her warm voice reenters, swells and becomes paramount in the performance ending in a crescendo of crisp harmonies with a carefully composed ending to finish.

Getting out of the Minories was easy and the neonlights of the busstation took me back to the familiar here and now, and quite unexpectedly I felt happy fighting my way back to the carpark at closing time. Instead of growling at the drunken, wobbly legs and the bouncy bossoms who came falling out onto the pavement infront of me, I smiled and forgave them. No road rage at all! It was a magic evening, I enjoyed it.
