Jazmine Ava performs at the Charter Hall

Well, its certainly been busy with all the gigs and summer festivals we’ve played at this year! Festivals included The Kesgrave Music Festival, The Twilight Festival and more recently, Colchester’s first Free Music festival which had 15,000 attendees! Our song ‘ComeOn’ was used in their official video – check out the link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rzjkt6-7dw

We’ve also enjoyed the success of our album ‘Set Me on Fire’ and have really felt that our name and following of fans has increased 10 fold in 2010 alone!

I’ve spent some time organising music events myself (which included The Twilight Festival at The Minories Gardens and The Moonlight Festival for Halloween) which were great platforms for us to play unusual gigs, supporting big local bands such as Salt Dog and Hokie Joint...

Of course, with time there always comes change, and the band have seen people come and go over the last 3 years. Unfortunately we are saying goodbye to another exceptional musician who has played guitar with me since I moved to Colchester 3 years ago, Geoff Clark who is moving on to new musical adventures. His commitment, time and stunning performances were a huge credit to my development as an acoustic artist and a real credit to us as a band. So we want to thank him, we had a wonderful time gigging together, and want to wish him all the best for the future.

We have a few gigs lined up for our fans to come and see us until the end of 2010, we will have a new guitarist band member to be confirmed soon, plans are underway for a music video we’ll be doing and we’re also working on new material for what might be.... hush... hush.... a possible new album by the end of 2011.... See you soon – hope you come and say hello if you see us live sometime! Jasmine Ava xxx
